The Northern Rivers and the Tweed are served from Burleigh Heads, twenty minutes north of Tweed Heads. Banora Point, Ocean Shores, Mullumbimby, Lennox Head and Tweed Heads South are where most of the work sits, spreading inland to Murwillumbah, Goonellabah and Lismore.

The state border matters more than the drive time suggests. Cross it and the distributor changes from Energex to Essential Energy, with different export limits, different approval processes and different timelines, even though the Gold Coast office is closer than Lismore is. The rebates change too: households here are in New South Wales and can access the NSW Home Energy Saver scheme, which addresses twenty minutes north cannot. Quoting this region as though it were an extension of the Gold Coast gets both of those wrong.

Flood history is a real design input through Lismore, Murwillumbah and the low-lying Tweed. Mounting height for inverters and batteries relative to known flood levels is something we raise at the quote stage. On the coastal strip from Kingscliff to Byron the constraints are different again: subtropical humidity, salt exposure and a heavy summer storm season.
