The Clarence Valley towns bring a design consideration the coastal strip does not: Grafton, Maclean and Yamba sit on a flood plain with a long history of it, and where an inverter and a battery are mounted relative to known flood levels is a question worth asking at the quote rather than after. It is a straightforward thing to design around when it is raised early.

North of Coffs the escarpment comes close to the coast, which produces more site-specific shading than the flatter country further south, and the humidity and salt along the Banana Coast strip drive the same corrosion-resistant specification we use elsewhere on the water. Sun hours here are meaningfully better than they are in the Hunter, which shortens payback on an equivalent system.
